LIVE FROM STUDIO A, IT'S THURSDAY NITE!

Since the ripe age of four, my parents let my brother and I watch things that were wildly inappropriate for our age group, with movies like Austin Powers and my personal favorite, Saturday Night Live.

My obsession for sketch comedy began at four and has carried through my entire life. So, when I found out Hofstra had a televised sketch comedy show, TNL, I knew I had to audition!

In my freshman year, I auditioned to be on the live cast of Thursday Nite Live as well as a staff writer. I thankfully received both roles and for two and a half years, I performed, wrote pre-filmed content called "packages" and wrote live sketches.

In my Junior year, I became an Associate Producer and trained under the current producers (Kenton Scott and Nicole Vuono) until May of my Junior year, where I took over with my Co-Producer, Michael O'Rourke.

For the next year, Mike and I produced six hour-long episodes for our 16th season on Hofstra's Entertainment Access Television Channel.
We worked together to schedule and curate content, book up-and-coming musicians to perform and create a theme for the season. We managed a team of ninety people, with titles and skills ranging from: band audio technicians, camera operators, directors, techical directors, production managers and production assistants to pull the show together each month. We collaborated with the head writers and package producers to cast the show, audition talent, select four live sketches to be performed on air each episode, as well as to offer critiques on pre-filmed package content.
